St. George

IMGP0835

The wind turbine site on St. George Island, located between the airport and the village, exhibits an exceptionally strong Class 7 (on a scale of 1 to 7) wind resource. One remanufactured 95 kW Windmatic wind turbine was installed in 2014 and is operational. This turbine connects to the St. George electrical grid and comprises the wind element a diesels-on configuration, wind-diesel power system. V3 Energy completed an extreme wind analysis of the site during the project development process.
